    Every episode title but one is named after a song.
    Entertainment Weekly chose Meredith Grey as the worst thing in TV for 2005.
    The title is a pun.
    The show went through several possible titles.
    The show is criticized for it's exaggeration of doctors.
    When it aired after the Super Bowl, the plot line involved a bomb inside someone's chest.

Why Grey's Anatomy might not be annoying:

    It was a huge success from the beginning and currently receives better ratings than 'Desperate Housewives.'
    Sandra Oh won a Golden Globe for her performance (2006).
    It is critically acclaimed.
    ABC gave it a vote of confidence when they chose to air it after the Super Bowl.
    It helped revive Patrick Dempsey's career.
