    Despite being considered the Diamondbacks franchise player, he was traded after 2 1/2 seasons with the team.
    He became a journeyman player following his departure from the Phillies.
    He spent the later seasons of his career as a bench player.
    He walked out of the Nationals spring training, citing he lacked the desire and passion to play baseball.
    He was a member of the inaugural Arizona Diamondbacks roster (1998).
    He was part of the package that brought Curt Schilling to the Diamondbacks.
    He hit the first home run in Diamondbacks franchise history.
    He earned a bronze medal as a member of the U.S. Olympic baseball team (1996).
