    (January 25, 1924-May 28, 2018)
    Born in Arizona
    Practical joker/Politcal activist
Known for bedeviling Richard Nixon from his first Senate campaign (1950) onward
    Pranks included:
Booking a Nixon speech for the largest auditorium at the University of California at Santa Barbara on an afternoon when the campus was largely vacant, then driving away many of those who did show up with a long-winded introduction (1950)
After the Nixon-Kennedy debates, had a motherly type hug Nixon in front of the cameras, declaring 'Don't worry, son. He beat you last night, but you'll get him next time' (1960)
During a stop in Chinatown in Los Angeles, had the signs behind Nixon read (in Chinese) 'What about the Hughes loan?' (a controversial loan from Howard Hughes to Nixon's brother Donald) (1962)
Waving Nixon's train out of the station while Nixon was still making a speech (1962)

He exaggerated his exploits over the years.
While running for the California State Senate (1964), he altered his campaign signs from 'Tuck' to 'Fuck,' hoping voters would think his opponent was responsible and he would get the sympathy vote.
Nixon hired Donald Segretti and the 'dirty tricks' squad as an answer to Tuck's antics.
Tuck was thus indirectly responsible for the whole Watergate mess.
His name is also a technique drag queens use to avoid revealing their packages.
When he ran for the California Senate, Nixon, in an uncharacteristic display of good humor, sent him a congratulatory telegram.
He was an advisor to Robert F. Kennedy and rode with the dying candidate to the hospital after Kennedy was shot.
Nixon was so paranoid of him that after aide Herb Klein spotted him near boxes of campaign buttons with slogans in several languages, Klein ordered, 'Destroy them. We can't take the chance.'
On the Watergate tapes, Nixon comments, 'Shows what a master Dick Tuck is. Segretti hasn't been a bit similar.'
