Actor
    (September 5, 1910-July 14, 1984)
    Born in United States
Acted as the Secretary of the Interior on Orson Welles' ‘War of the Worlds’
He was upset when he was told he wouldn’t be able to play Franklin D. Roosevelt on ‘War of the Worlds.’
He only agreed to play the Secretary of the Interior when he was told that he and Roosevelt sounded alike.
He took part in a radio broadcast that caused panic across the U.S., when people believed it to be real and that the martians were actually invading.
He did an excellent imitation of FDR.
His catchphrase 'I say, I say---that's a joke, son' inspired the Warner Brothers character Foghorn Leghorn.
