Model

The Resume

    (1962- )
    Born in Auckland, New Zealand
Famously known as David Bowie's paramour in his 'China Girl' music video (1983)
Later changed her name to Geeling Ching

Why she might be annoying:

She was a waitress/model at the time she was cast for the video.
She was 23; Bowie was 37.
While it's easy to assume she is from China, she is actually a native of Oz. (The video was shot in the Chinatown district of Sydney, Australia.)
She helped perpetuate Asian women sexual stereotypes with that video.
She and Bowie made the video notorious for the ultra-steamy beach sex scene where both appeared completely nude.
Mainstream music video shows and music channels aired the censored version of the video.
She appeared in the Oz version of 'Dancing with the Stars,' but got eliminated first! (2008)

Why she might not be annoying:

In the unedited version of the 'China Girl' video, her bare breasts can be seen (as well as Bowie's naked butt).
She had a brief relationship with Bowie after filming; he even took her on his subsequent tour.
Afterwards, she went on to hosting a cooking show and became a restauranteur.
Days after Bowie's death (January 10, 2016), she reflected on her time with him and told People.com that her appearance in the video was life changing in positive ways.
In that same interview, she remembered Bowie as 'charming and really wonderful...I've admired him for ever and ever and ever and I was starstruck and he made me feel really comfortable.'
