    Won the 2017 Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for 'Manchester By the Sea'

    He directed and filmed promotional films for Fujifilm and Weight Watchers.
    He wrote the screenplay to the box-office bomb 'The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle (2000).'
    While production of 'Margaret' ended in 2005, the film was not released until six years later due to executive meddling from distributor Fox Searchlight.
    The reason was that Fox Searchlight wanted the film to run under 150 minutes.
