    Appeared in 'The Shanghai Gesture' (1941), 'Murder, My Sweet' (1944), 'Nightmare Alley' (1947), 'Night and the City' (1950), 'Blood Alley' (1955), 'Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier' (1955), 'Around the World in 80 Days' (1956), 'Some Like It Hot' (1959), 'Donovan's Reef' (1963), 'It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World' (1963), 'Cheyenne Autumn' (1964), 'Won Ton Ton, The Dog Who Saved Hollywood' (1976), 'Amazon Women on the Moon' (1987) and 'Dick Tracy' (1990)
    He claimed he broke almost every bone in his body wrestling.
    For his film debut, he played a Chinese coolie in 'The Shanghai Gesture.'
    He was typecast as a dimwitted thug.
    Despite his image, he graduated near the top of his class from Manhattan College.
    He turned to pro wrestling because 'That was during the Depression and I could make ten times a lawyer's salary wrestling.'
    He founded the Cauliflower Alley Club, a non-profit organization that provided assistance to retired or injured wrestlers and their families.
