Why he might be annoying:

Despite being born and growing up in Australia, he has developed the dreaded trans-pacific accent that's not quite Australian and not quite American.
It is hard to tell that he is Australian due to his accent and the large amount of Italian-American characters he plays.
He played Al Capone in 'Road to Perdition,' and his part was cut out entirely.

Why he might not be annoying:

He won the Tony Award for Best Actor in 'A View from the Bridge' (1998).
He won an Outstanding Guest Actor Emmy in 2002 for his recurring role in 'Frasier.'
He won a Best Actor in a Drama Television Series Golden Globe for 'Without a Trace.' (2004).
He prefers independent films because they allow him more creative input in the film
He has no respect for celebrities who call themselves actors without any training. He believes a true actor spend years trying to perfect their craft.
