    Acted in 'Dracula (1931),' 'The Maltese Falcon (1931),' 'Frankenstein (1931),' 'The Invisible Man (1933),' 'Bride of Frankenstein (1935),' 'The Shadow (`937),' 'Son of Frankenstein (1939),' 'Ghost of Frankenstein (1942),' 'Dead Men Walk (1943)' and 'Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943)'

Why he might be annoying:

    He was typecast as the madman's assistant.
    Many of his film roles were uncredited.
    He was bug-eyed.
    He never achieved widespread fame during his lifetime.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was the original hunchback lab partner of Dr. Frankenstein.
    He appeared in many of the classic monster movies of the 1930s.
    Studios constantly gave him roles that did not allow him to show his talents.
    He died of a heart attack just before shooting was to begin on what might have been his big break.
    The Alice Cooper Group wrote a song about him, entitled 'The Ballad of Dwight Frye.'
