Why he might be annoying:

He had an extramarital affair with a prostitute.
He allowed the prostitute to listen to conversations between him and President Clinton.
He then resigned from Bill Clinton's 1996 campaign 2 months before the election.
He has a toe fetish.
He fathered a child out of wedlock.
In 1988, he announced he would only work for Republicans, but he then worked for Bill Clinton's '92 and '96 campaign.
He has been bashing and impugning Bill and Hillary Clinton since he resigned, despite working with them for nearly 2 decades.

Why he might not be annoying:

He wrote a weekly column for the New York Post.
He graduated Columbia University.
He began working on Bill Clinton's campaign for Governor of Arkansas, and continued working with him until his second presidential race.
When he did not work on Clinton's 1980 re-election campaign for governor, Clinton lost. He came back in 1982 and helped him win back the governorship.
He worked with the United Kingdom Independence Party for the 2004 European Parliament election.
He acted as a campaign consultant for Viktor Yushchenko's campaign in Ukraine.
Bill Clinton reportedly attacked him during his 1990 gubernatorial campaign.
