Why Netherlands Antilles might be annoying
Bonaire's natural resource is salt.
The economy is dependant on tourism.
Although the people enjoy a high per capita income, they are second to India in receiving aid from the Netherlands.
It has been used for both money laundering and South American drugs headed to the U.S.
Aruba at one time was part of Netherlands Antilles.
Why Netherlands Antilles might not be annoying
During the American revolution, they traded with the U.S. as revenge to the British, who tried to destroy St. Eustatius (1780).
The people have a long life expectancy and one of the highest literacy rates for a primarily black nation.
Although part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, they have full autonomy (1954).
Each island has their own independent government.
It is a large supplier of aloe.
