During the 2010 World Cup, as she reported near the soccer pitch, Iker allowed the underdog Swiss squad to score a game-winning goal against heavily-favored Spain.
Her beauty was blamed for distracting him.
In a post-match interview, she asked Iker, 'How did you muck that up?'

In 2009, FHM listed her as the 'Sexiest Reporter In The World.'
Although Spain bans 'esposas y novias' from attending the World Cup, she landed in South Africa because she is a legitimate sports journalist.
She refused blame for the team's loss, calling it 'preposterous' and 'nonsense.'
