    Acted in 'Teacher's Pet (1930),' 'Helping Grandma (1931),' 'Choo-Choo! (1932),' 'Free Wheeling (1932),' 'Mush and Milk (1933),' 'Honky Donkey (1934),' 'Anniversary Trouble (1935)' and 'Teacher's Beau (1935)'
    His 'Our Gang' nickname was going to be 'Hercules,' but he got stuck with 'Stymie.'
    He changed his brother Bobbie's name to 'Cotton' (and his parents went along with it).
    His 'Our Gang' career was over when he was ten.
    He became a heroin addict as an adult.
    He was jailed several times on drug related charges.
    His famous derby hat was a gift from Stan Laurel.
    As a child, he helped financially support his 13 siblings.
    Four other family members ended up acting in 'Our Gang' shorts, too.
    He entered drug rehab in the 1960's and overcame his addiction.
    He made a minor comeback on TV with recurring roles in 'Sanford and Son' and 'Good Times.'
