Why he might be annoying:

    He became a regular on ‘Hogan’s Heroes’ when Leonard Kinskey backed out after the pilot episode.
    He contributed several comedy bits to Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In, but failed to win an Emmy alongside the rest of the writers because his name was accidentally omitted from the credits submitted to the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
    He was a producer of the hidden-camera show ‘Totally Hidden Video,’ but was fired after Fox executives learned that three of the four segments in the pilot episode used paid actors and scripted content.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He competed on Arthur Godfrey’s Talent Scouts as a member of a singing quartet, the Mascots (1948).
    He foiled a kidnapping attempt against one of Bing Crosby’s children outside the Hollywood Palace Theater while Bing’s Christmas special was being filmed (1965).
    He was a producer and frequent panelist on the game show ‘Liar’s Club.’
    He taught drama at Texas State University – San Marcos (1990-2003).
