    Her specialty was 'gut-bucket blues,' featuring raunchy lyrics.
    One of her more famous songs was 'Down In The Alley' about a hooker servicing johns in an alley.
    She was a pioneering woman blues musician.
    She recorded for over forty years.
    She was one of the first blues musicians to play the electric guitar.
    Led Zeppelin recorded a cover version of her 1929 single, 'When the Levee Breaks.'
