    Born in Atlanta, Georgia
    American Tea Party activist
Operated the 'Southern Belle Politics' Blog (2008-2012)
Founding member of Tea Party Patriots (TPP)
Joined the Tea Party Express Bus Tour, traveling across the US (Aug. 2009)
Joined the Tea Party Express (TPE) PAC in October 2009
Resigned from Tea Party Express in April 2014
Co-Founder of the nonprofit organization, American Grassroots Coalitions
Co-Chair of Doctor Patient Medical Association's Patient Power Project
Her birthdate is listed as both 1970 and 1971.
She was at the center of the Government Shutdown debate over the defunding of Obamacare in 2013.
Like Chris Christie and Candy Crowley, she is a noticeably obese public figure whose name sounds like a sugary delicacy.
She was a driving force behind the disastrous nomination of Christine 'The Witch' O'Donnell for Senate in 2010.
She was criticized by Tea Party leaders for neglecting to support a 2012 Republican Presidential candidate until Mitt Romney had the nomination locked up.
She stirred controversy during the 2012 Election when she was quoted at an event saying that President Obama 'doesn't love America the way we do' (Sept. 4, 2012).
She attacked Republican Senator Saxby Chambliss by claiming that he 'voted more with Democrats than with conservatives' (Jan. 8, 2013). later rated her claim as 'False,' as Chambliss voted with fellow Republicans 91 percent of the time between 2011 and 2012.
She worked as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines before joining the Tea Party Movement.
She described herself as 'just a mom who was sick and fed up with what was going on in Washington.'
She was awarded the Shining Scalpel Award by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (2009).
She was named the most influential public figure in the Tea Party movement by the Daily Telegraph (2010).
She worked to separate the Tea Party's message of fiscal conservatism from controversial social issues and identity politics.
She called on Todd Akin to drop out of the 2012 Missouri Senate race over his 'legitimate rape' comments.
She played critical roles in defeating Sen. Arlen Specter's bid for reelection in Pennsylvania and Bart Stupak's bid for reelection to Congress in Michigan.
During the Government Shutdown debate, she consistently pointed out that the Congressional Republicans were only seeking for the ACA to be delayed by a year and that neither she nor any other Republican was willfully advocating shutting down the government.
She had to put up with race baiting and/or sexist crap from Al Sharpton, Karen Finney, and Bill O'Reilly during interviews over her push to defund the ACA.
Ironically, she fared worse with Fox News' Bill O'Reilly, who frequently cut her off, taking a condescending tone with her and scolding her like a child.
She held her own during a roundtable discussion with the women on The View, astutely thwarting attempts to make her appear crazy/racist. She was also the first guest from the Tea Party movement to appear on The View.
