Composed the music for all of the 'Star Wars' films, 'Fiddler on the Roof (1971),' 'The Poseidon Adventure (1972),' 'The Towering Inferno (1974),' the 'Superman (1978)' films, 'Midway (1976),' 'The River (1984),' 'JFK (1991),' 'Home Alone (1992)' I and II, The 'Harry Potter' films, and all but one of Steven Spielberg's feature films.
Why he might be annoying
He has been married twice.
His son, Joseph Williams, became a member of the band Toto in 1986.
Some films re-use his scores from older movies - 'Pearl Harbor (2001)' used music from 'Midway (1976).'
He wrote music for 'Gilligan's Island.'
His skin is pale and he blushes a lot when he is giving a speech.

2002 distinguishes Williams as the most Oscar-nominated living individual, with 41 nominations.
