    Despite the last name, it's obvious the character of Mark Cooper was modelled after Curry's own life (Cooper even taught at the same Oakland school Curry attended in his youth).

    For a time, he was Oakland's most popular comedian.
    He is a talented stand-up comedian, having performed all over the world.
    His show 'Hanging With Mr. Cooper' lasted for 5 years (rare for a show of its kind).
