After JonBenet's murder an Access Graphics spokesperson said he was temporarily replaced to grieve in peace when in reality he quit.
He's been on 'Larry King Live' several times to profess his innocence.
In 2004 he ran unsuccessfully for a seat in Michigan's House of Representatives.
Six months after his second wife died he began dating Beth Holloway Twitty, mother of missing Aruba vacationing teen Natalee Holloway.

He has a distinguished career as an officer in the U.S. Navy.
When Access Graphics grossed over $1 billion in 1996 he was named 'Entrepreneur of the Year.'
He was the one who discovered his daughter's strangled body in the basement of the Boulder, CO family home.
Since the police tried to pin the murder on him from the start he wouldn't speak openly with them on the advice of his lawyer.
His ex-wife, brother, sister-in-law and his two surviving children from his first marriage all went on record stating he was a loving, gentle man who 'cherished' his kids and was never abusive.
He had to endure the whole John Mark Karr fiasco.
He has never been formally charged with his daughter's murder and tells those who will listen how much he misses her.
