The Resume

Why Survivor 28: Cagayan might be annoying:

For the fourth straight season, it was held in the same location.
The Luzon tribe was referred to only as 'Brains' during its time in the game.
When they tried to reshuffle and consolidate the three tribes into two, the entire Brains tribe ended up on Aparri (the former Brawn tribe).
Likewise, every one of the original Brawns except Sarah ended up going to Solana (the former Beauty tribe).
They had to put up with Tony’s paranoia.
Each of the three tribes was brought into the game by a different mode of transportation.
Beauty tribe had a glamorous speedboat, Brains had the cool helicopter, and the Brawns arrived in a rickety truck.
A new Special Immunity Idol was featured, as a result of a suggestion made to Jeff by actor/director Tyler Perry.
This Idol could be used after the votes were read.
Tony found the Special Immunity Idol, and then a regular one, but never played the Special one (though he did use it as a red herring, to deter players from voting against him).
As with the previous season, some of the Twitter hashtags peppered throughout the broadcasts were frivolous.
For the first time in a non-Redemption Island season, there was no on-air memorial walk commemorating the players who got voted off.
Almost everyone on the jury denounced Tony’s villainous game play, yet after Spencer lobbied on Tony’s behalf, eight of the nine jurors voted Tony the Sole Survivor.

Why Survivor 28: Cagayan might not be annoying:

The tribes were initially divided according to dominant trait: one tribe had people with strong physical abilities, one had people with high intellectual capacity, and one had people with good looks.
Not since One World had the game featured an all-rookie lineup of players.
For the first time ever, the first three castoffs were all men.
Despite Luzon losing the most members pre-merge, two Brains made it to the Final Four.
The final Tribal Council featured a Final Two, rather than a Final Three, for the first time in ten seasons.
It gave Survivor its best ratings in several years.
