    Launched the sci-fi/fantasy website 'Orson Scott Card's Intergalactic Medicine Show' (2005)
    He has used seven pen names.
    He serves as a judge for the Scientology-funded Writers of the Future contest.
    He is a self-proclaimed Democrat, who endorsed George W. Bush and John McCain.
    He claims natural selection cannot explain 'completely how evolution works.'
    He joined the board of the National Organization for Marriage and called same-sex marriage a 'potentially devastating social experiment.'
    'Ender's Game' and the sequel 'Speaker for the Dead' both won Hugo and Nebula Awards, making him the first author to win both top sci-fi prizes in consecutive years (1985-86).
    His daughter Erin died the day she was born and his son Charles died at age 17 from cerebral palsy.
    Despite his opposition to 'Darwinism,' he said 'real science does not -- and never can -- support' intelligent design.
    He said that gays are 'human beings with as complex a combination of good and evil in them as I find within myself.'
