The Resume

    (1989- )
    Born in United Kingdom
Father-son DJ team of John and Andy Pickles
Recorded the singles 'Swing the Mood,' 'That's What I Like' and 'Let's Party' (all 1989)

Why they might be annoying:

They copied the Stars on 45 formula of stringing together oldies over a dance groove.
They were one hit wonders in the US.
Their hits in Britain dried up after 1989.
Their public appearances featured a guy in a rabbit suit.
Rolling Stone magazine called them 'the best argument yet against sampling.'

Why they might not be annoying:

'Swing the Mood' revived the popularity of Glen Miller's 'In the Mood.'
They followed Gerry and the Pacemakers and Frankie Goes to Hollywood as only the third act to have their first three singles top the British charts.
Although their singles success dried up quickly, they have released over 30 albums.
