The Resume

    (January 24, 1953- )
Birth name is Roy Wayne Farris
    Former WWE Intercontinental Champion
Wrestled for the WWE and WCW

Why he might be annoying:

He had the gimmick of an evil Elvis impersonator.
He would always bring a guitar to the ring, but he never played it.
He would call his manager, Jimmy Hart, 'The Colonel' and would bring around a girl he named Peggy Sue, who would dress in 50's gear.
Many people think he only won the Intercontinental Championship because the WWF had a problem with Ricky Steamboat and just had him drop the belt to the Honky Tonk Man.
He once nailed Jake Roberts over the head with a real guitar, a move that caused damage to Roberts' head and he was never the same after the incident.
He tried to re-create the success of the gimmick by teaming up with Greg Valentine and make him an Elvis impersonator to form a tag team called Rhythm & Blues, which was a total flop.
In another attempt to re-create history, he became a manager and took Billy Gunn on as his protégé, naming him 'Rockabilly' which was an even bigger disaster.
He has become very bitter about the wrestling business and he uses his website and interviews to trash wrestlers and wrestling companies.
He constantly bashes his cousin, Jerry Lawler.

Why he might not be annoying:

He's the longest-reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion of all-time, holding the title for 14 months.
Due to his lengthy reign, he's considered by many to be the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all-time.
His theme song is an all-time favorite and always got a rise out of fans.
He was ahead of his time, as many of today's wrestlers do things that he started.
Most people thought that a wrestling Elvis impersonator was ridiculous but he was so great in the role and especially on the microphone by saying, 'Thank you, you've been a beautiful audience, thank you very much' that the gimmick worked and lasted for a while.
He was a great heel and he's ranked #23 in Total Wrestling Magazine's 100 Greatest Heels of All-Time.
WWE named him one of the 50 greatest wrestlers in the history of the company.
One of his guitars was on display at the Hard Rock Cafe.
