Why they might be annoying:

Their original guitarist quit shortly after the L.A. move.
Michaels and Dall didn't get along with DeVille at first (who was chosen over Slash).
DeVille was caught at the 1991 MTV Music Awards performing a song with an unplugged guitar.
At the awards Michaels and DeVille had a fist fight. Shortly after, DeVille was fired for drug and alcohol abuse.
His replacement, Richie Kotzen, lasted less than two years - fired for having an affair with Rockett's fiance.
Their record company refused to release their 1995 album, 'Crack A Smile,' due to declining interest in 'hair bands.'
'Unskinny Bop' ranked #3 on 'VH-1's Forty Most Awesomely Bad Metal Songs...Ever.'

Why they might not be annoying:

Their 1986 debut album, 'Look What the Cat Dragged In,' sold more than 2 million copies.
Their 1988 follow-up, 'Open Up And Say...Ahh!,' sold more than 8 million copies.
They ranked with Metallica as the largest-grossing acts to tour in the late '80s.
Michaels was in a car wreck that broke his nose, jaw, some ribs, fingers and knocked out 4 teeth (May 1994).
They went on a successful 2004 summer 'revival' tour with KISS.
Michaels writes and directs independent films.
