Why she might be annoying:

She ran a brothel where elderly men traded meal vouchers for sex.
Many of her clients liked dressing in lingerie and being spanked.
She twice ran for Parliament, garnering less than 1% of the vote each time.
She was disappointed that Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice never followed up on her suggestion that they should write a musical based on her life.

Why she might not be annoying:

After her 1987 acquittal, she sent the judge a copy of her biography, 'An English Madam,' with the inscription, 'I hope this book will broaden your rather sheltered life.'
At the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, she performed a one-woman show that was a consistent sell-out (1992).
She was named the 'Ideal Dinner Guest' by the BBC's 'Good Food Show.'
