He spent his whole childhood wanting to be a journalist, but ended up getting his college degree in computer science.
Because he was holding Jeanine’s immunity idol for safekeeping when he was voted out, she ended up losing that idol when his torch was snuffed.

Why he might not be annoying:

By the time he entered high school, he had already met such luminaries as Madeleine Albright, Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), and former President Jimmy Carter.
He got a perfect score on his ACT test and was valedictorian of his high school class.
He allowed Nneka to braid his hair while on the island.
