U.S. Governor

The Resume

    (November 30, 1971- )
    Born in Watertown, South Dakota
Republican Governor of South Dakota (first elected November 2018)
Represented South Dakota's sole congressional district in the US House of Representatives (January 3, 2011-January 3, 2019)

Why she might be annoying:

Running in a heavily conservative state, she wasn't elected Governor by a wide margin (51% to 47% for her Democratic challenger).
She supported the Keystone pipeline, a very controversial topic in her home state.
She won South Dakota's 'Snow Queen' pageant (1990).
Some criticized her for not 'shutting' South Dakota down during the COVID 19 pandemic.
As a result, South Dakota became a COVID 'hot spot'.

Why she might not be annoying:

Her father died in a farming accident when she was just 23 years old.
She graduated South Dakota State University.
She completed her college credits online...while a member of the US House of Representatives.
While a champion of liberty, she opted not to join the Tea Party during her time in the House of Representatives.
To be fair, she pointed out that the meat packing facility serving as the epicenter of South Dakota's COVID hot spot would've been open under a shelter in place order, as it is an essential industry.
