    Executive producer of ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ (1975)
    Directed ‘Up In Smoke’ (1978)
    Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2013)

Why he might be annoying:

    Not having graduated high school, he used fake papers to enroll in Los Angeles City College.
    He was ten years older than his first wife, Shelley Fabares, and thirty years older than his second wife, Page Hannah.
    He fathered a son with Britt Ekland while married to Fabares.
    He admits that despite his various accomplishments, he is probably best known as ’the guy with the hat and the white beard who sits next to Jack Nicholson at the Lakers games.’

Why he might not be annoying:

    He won a pair of Grammys for producing Carole King’s Album of the Year ‘Tapestry’ and Record of the Year ‘It’s Too Late.’
    He bought the American rights to ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ after seeing the London stage production.
    He and his assistant were kidnapped from his Malibu home and held for a $25,000 ransom (1976).
    He, his wife Page Hannah, and Paul Newman founded the Painted Turtle Camp (1999) to give children with life-threatening illnesses or chronic medical conditions the chance to have a traditional summer camp experience.
