Why North Pole, Alaska might be annoying:

It often gets mistaken for Earth's geographical real North Pole, which is located 1,700 miles away.
Most of its streets and attractions are all named after anything that is associated with Christmas.
When the weather gets freaking cold in January and February, the Santa Claus House has to be closed for a week.
Some school students got arrested for planning to start a shooting at a middle school campus (What a bunch of naughty students!) (April 22, 2006).

It is where tourists can come here at anytime to visit in the summertime.
It has a refinery which serves jet fuel for Anchorage's international airport.
It has been likened by people who like Christmas.
It's one of locations where the northern lights visible at night can be viewed.
It has a low unemployment rate.
The scenery surrounding the small city inspired paintings made by TV painter Bob Ross.
