The Resume

    (September 6, 1934-November 30, 2009)
    Born in Madrid, Spain
Birth name was Jacinto Molina Alvarez
Spanish actor known for his roles in horror films, especially playing Waldemar Daninsky/The Wolfman in a series of twelve films
Known as 'the Spanish Lon Chaney' and the 'Boris Karloff of Spain'
Spanish language films include 'Los noches del Hombre Lobe,' 'Jack el destripador de Londres,' 'Pecado mortal' and 'Pez'
English language films include 'Rottweiler,' 'Countess Dracula's Orgy of Blood' and 'Tomb of the Werewolf'

Why he might be annoying:

He was never able to make an impact on the American market and remained unknown among even serious horror fans in America.
He received almost no critical recognition from the Spanish film industry (and none from the American ever) until very late in his career.
In a peculiar bit of film-making, he played a werewolf named Waldemar Daninsky in a series of twelve films. However, the films were not sequels, but were stand alone films having only Naschy's character's name in common as a marketing ploy.
Few of his Spanish language films have been translated into English, and those that have been translated were not done well.
Many of his movies have been released under multiple titles, making it hard to keep track of them.

Why he might not be annoying:

Classically handsome and not being a big man, he had to use his tremendous acting skills to project menace and intimidation.
He portrayed virtually every classic movie monster in history: Dracula, Jack the Ripper, Frankenstein's monster, the Mummy, and the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
He acted in over 100 movies, wrote over 40, and directed over 15.
He kept his private life private.
Playing a werewolf in three films besides the Daninsky films made a total of fifteen times he played a werewolf, which has got to be some kind of record.
He has a street named after him in his hometown of Madrid.
