The lives of 16-year-old girls weeks to months before and after giving birth
Why 16 and Pregnant might be annoying
It is produced by a Morgan J. Freeman — not the guy who played Easy Reader.
Some of the parents are more immature than the kids — particularly toward the boyfriend.
At the end of the first season, when the girls met with Dr. Drew Pinsky, he already hinted at a second season — with the same girls (like they’re the only ones?).
One girl gave her newborn up for adoption.
Why 16 and Pregnant might not be annoying
It is the diametric and often financial opposite of My Super Sweet 16.
For the most part – rare for any program in the reality genre and especially for MTV – it is raw and unpolished.
The opening and name title cards are done in the style of school notebook doodles.
Despite their locations and situations, the girls were usually able to actually engage in normal activities.
They aren’t likely to take too many little things for granted.
Giving up a kid for adoption isn’t always done out of selfishness.
