The Resume

    (April 11, 1974- )
    Born in St. Petersburg, Florida
Founded Rainforest Films (operated from 1994-2014)
Founder of Will Packer Productions and Will Packer Media
Produced 'Stomp the Yard (2007),' 'Obsessed (2009),' 'Think Like a Man (2012),' 'Ride Along (2014),' 'About Last Night (2014),' 'Straight Outta Compton (2015),' 'Almost Christmas (2016),' 'Girls Trip (2017),' 'Night School (2018),' and 'Jacob's Ladder (2019)'

Why he might be annoying:

    He is divorced.
    He remade Roots.
Mo'Nique accused him of trying to 'intimidate, bully, and ruin' her career after working together on Almost Christmas.
The Parkers star proceeded to share e-mails between Packer and her husband Sidney Hicks, in which Hicks accuses Packer of having a 'Napoleonic complex,' a large ego, and of swindling people out of money.
Ironically, before or maybe during their 'feud,' he and Mo'Nique promoted the Almost Christmas movie with the rest of the cast by appearing as contestants on - wait for it - Family FEUD! (Mo'Nique's team won in case you're interested).

Why he might not be annoying:

He is one of the only African American producers to have ten consecutive films open to number one at the box office.
His films collectively have pulled in over $1 billion at the box office.
He successfully brokered a distribution for his first indie film - 'Chocolate City'- at Blockbuster Video stores (remember those?)
He has advocated for greater diversity in Hollywood and the Academy.
He is credited with discovering Kevin Hart and making him a star.
He has been included in several high-profile lists, including Variety's 10 Producers to Watch and Ebony's Power 100 List.
Charlamagne Tha God checked Mo'Nique for trying to equate Packer with Harvey Weinstein on The Breakfast Club.
His docuseries on the Atlanta Child Murders was partly responsible for Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms reopening the case in March 2019.
