    He was a member of a championship team at every level of hockey he was associated with in the professional ranks.
    He was the architect of the Chicago Wolves teams that won the IHL's Turner Cup (1998, 2000) and the AHL's Calder Cup (2002, 2008).
    He earned a Stanley Cup ring as an assistant general manager with the Blackhawks in his first season with the team (2010).
    He was the first general manager in the history of the reborn Winnipeg Jets franchise.
    He was able to assemble a competitive Jets team, despite being on a limited budget and playing in a small market city.
    He drafted the likes of Mark Schiefele, Jacob Trouba and Patrik Laine with his first round draft picks, all of which played an integral part in the success of the reborn Jets.
    He was cleared of any wrongdoing in the Blackhawks sexual assault scandal, after it was revealed he had no say or part in the decision to cover it up, after the initial assault claim was reported (October 29, 2021).
