    Public relations director for Sea World (1979-85)
    Died in a car crash in Brevard County, Florida

Why he might be annoying:

    He was rejected for pilot training during World War II because he was color blind.
    In some early films, he used the stage name Robert Stanton.
    He made several unsuccessful attempts to launch a new 'Sky King' series.
    He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of his fatal accident.

    He was a child prodigy on violin and won a scholarship to the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago.
    He won a 'Gateway to Hollywood' talent contest (1939).
    At the time of his death, he was headed to Cape Canaveral for the launch of the space shuttle Challenger, where he was to be honored by NASA for encouraging aviation and space flight.
