Why he might be annoying:

His early lyrics were incredibly violent, and he went by the name Mase Murda (Murder).
Later, he lost his 'hard' image by rapping on the song 'Take Me There' from 'The Rugrats Movie.'
He replaced the 's' in his rap name with a dollar sign (Ma$e).
He was arrested for disorderly conduct, but nothing ever came of the charges against him.
He announced his retirement from rap at age 21, but came out of retirement five years later.

His album, 'Harlem World,' hit number one and sold more than four million copies.
After retiring from rap, he became a pastor and started his own ministry.
He used his new found spirituality to work with and inspire inner-city youth.
