    He frequently resorts to personal attacks and insults in congressional hearings.
    He defended a Martin Luther King Day speech he gave calling President Trump the 'hater in the White House,' 'the Birther-in-Chief,' and 'the Grand Wizard on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.'
    He had several bizarre exchanges with Diamond and Silk during their Congressional hearing, during which he invoked the song 'Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend' while pressing them about their FEC filings.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He obtained a Master of Public Policy degree from Georgetown University.
    As an assistant litigator for CBS, he worked on the network's legal defense over the disastrous Super Bowl 2004 halftime show controversy.
    He is pro-Israel and has defended several of his colleagues from accusations of anti-Semitism.
    He gave a speech defending calls for President Trump's impeachment with an American flag propped behind him, saying: 'the Founders didn’t want a king, they didn’t want a dictator, they didn’t want a monarch, they wanted a Democracy and that is exactly what we are defending right now, no one is above the law.'
