Why he might be annoying:

    His inclusion on the Miracle on Ice team was largely in part to being on Herb Brooks team at the University of Minnesota.
    He never cut it in the professional ranks.
    He turned down a contract offer from the Minnesota North Stars.
    He chose to pursue a hockey career, despite the fact he primarily excelled at football.
    He held the distinction of being both the oldest player and the lone holdover from the Miracle on Ice team for the 1984 U.S. Olympic Ice Hockey Team.
    He retired following those games, after the United States finished in seventh place at the Sarajevo Olympics.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was a star player at the University of Minnesota.
    He was a member of two NCAA championship teams at the University of Minnesota.
    He scored the tying goal for the United States against Finland in the gold medal game, which set the stage for the American comeback and victory (1980).
    His skates he wore in the 1980 Winter Olympics are in the National Museum of American History.
    He went into the finance sector following his retirement from hockey.
