Why she might be annoying:

She began her career as an overnight desk assistant at Fox News.
She headed an Immigration panel segment for CNN - with Elmo as one of the panelists.
She was trolled in some circles for donning a hijab reporting from the capital of Kabul after it fell to the Taliban (attacks many called disingenuous).
She was criticized by conservatives for saying of the Taliban: 'They’re just chanting Death to America, but they seem friendly at the same time.'

Why she might not be annoying:

    She graduated from Yale University.
She is fluent in several Arab dialects, as well as French and Italian.
She has seven Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award.
She reported live coverage of the Syrian uprising and of the coup in Myanmar.
She provided valuable live reporting as the Taliban assumed control of all major cities, at risk to her own personal safety.
She boldly and fearlessly pressed Taliban fighters on their treatment of women during an interview.

The 'friendly at the same time' quote was taken out of context, usually leaving out her calling it 'utterly bizarre' at the end.
