Actor

The Resume

    (December 21, 1983- )
    Born in Seoul, Korea (South)
    Birth name is Yeun Sang-yeop
Acted in 'My Name is Jerry' (2009) and 'I Origins' (2014)
Best known as Glenn Rhee in the AMC series The Walking Dead
Provided the voice of Avatar Wan in 'The Legend of Kora' (2013)

Why he might be annoying:

He forewent medical school to study acting.
He was big on wearing fanny packs as a teenager.
His Twitter feed often sports weird 'profile pics,' usually photos of something 'other than him.'
He swam in a pool full of caramel for a Milky Way commercial.
He got his start in a series about zombies, but he admits to avoiding scary movies and television shows.
He is the only male cast member on 'Walking Dead' whose character doesn't sprout facial hair or sport five o'clock shadow (guess Glenn is the only one who had time to shave while fending off zombies day and night).
He admitted on Conan that he was insecure about his nipples being 'tiny' (in separate interviews he also invited Conan to accompany him to an Atlanta strip club and recalled finding a tick on his member in the shower).
As if he hadn't gotten enough 'exposure' on Conan, he accompanied O'Brien to a Korean Spa, where the two men appeared totally naked on national TV (Feb. 2015).
He said, 'I'm stupidly curious. I will go and touch anything until I find out that it's very harmful.'

Why he might not be annoying:

    He plays the guitar.
He speaks both English and Korean.
He was an infant when his parents emigrated from Seoul to Canada, and later the States.
He took up boxing to stay in shape for the rigors of filming 'Walking Dead.'
He received a Bachelor's in psychology from Kalamazoo College (2005)
He was a member of the Second City comedy troupe in Chicago.
He was a member of Stir Friday Night, a sketch-comedy group made up of Asian-American performers.
He has a self-deprecating sense of humor (ex. recounting his traumatic childhood Halloween story for laughs).
As a kid in Michigan, he played football, hockey, basketball, and lacrosse.
He was all but cast in a part for an ABC pilot before the deal fell through at the last minute. This proved a blessing in disguise, as it freed him up to do The Walking Dead.
He was an avid reader of the Walking Dead comics before it even became a series. A letter even appears in Issue #102 expressing anger at Glenn being killed off two issues earlier (ironically).
