Why Norm (TV Show) might be annoying:

ABC shortened its title to 'Norm' after the first season to avoid a legal conflict with a public access show.
It was successful as a Wednesday lead-out for The Drew Carey Show but ratings fell when its slot was moved to before Drew. ABC continued to tinker with its timeslot several more times over its run.
When it was renewed for a third season, ABC moved it to Friday nights, in an effort to create a new 'Working Comedy' Friday night comedy lineup, where it died a quiet death.
Norm MacDonald promoted the show on The View during its third season and caused a row by calling Bill Clinton a murderer, resulting in the segment being cut short (November 16, 2000).

Why Norm (TV Show) might not be annoying:

    Its premise was legitimately funny.
It was one of the top-rated sitcoms on ABC among adults 18-49 during its first season.
The opening theme, 'Too Bad' by Doug & the Slugs, was catchy.
It marked the last performance by Richard Pryor.
It was a great showcase for Norm MacDonald after his exit from Saturday Night Live.
For years, a majority of its episodes were considered lost until YouTube made them readily available.
