Point guard for the Portland Trail Blazers (1982-84), Denver Nuggets (1984-90) and the Dallas Mavericks (1990-94)

He was known as 'Fat' growing up, after his younger brother had trouble pronouncing the syllables in Lafayette.
He was once considered the best player in the NBA never to play in the All-Star Game, prior to his first appearance in 1988.
He enjoys reading comic books in his spare time.

He initally sulked when he found out he got traded to the Nuggets.
He sat out the entire 1992-93 season due to injuries.
He spent his last NBA season on a horrendous Mavericks team.
