    He became a Canadian citizen, with the hope of making their national basketball team.
    He was sent home for poor conduct a couple months before the Olympics.
    He spent a good portion of his career playing on poor Sixers teams.
    He was injury prone in three of his first four NBA seasons.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was considered an excellent shot blocker in college by basketball pundits.
    He spent the majority of his formative years in Port-au-Prince, before moving to North America to improve his basketball career.
    He donated a good portion of his time to the relief efforts following the Haitian earthquake (2010).
