The dough conditioner originated by Pizzeria Uno was imported to a number of other deep-dish pizza places in Chicago.
He opened Pizzeria Due to deal with the overflow of Pizzeria Uno.

Why he might not be annoying:

He served in Italy during World War II where he first learned about deep-dish pizza.
Many Chicagoans claim they miss Uno's pizza when they're not in Chicago, and visitors buy loads of frozen pizzas to take home and bake.
He brought new variety to pizza.
He got Irv Kupcinet and others to give Uno free publicity, showing celebrities visiting Pizzeria Uno.
He was indirectly responsible for making the Rush Street district in Chicago a major tourist center.
