    Premise: Contestants play in different games and are often entertained by 'girls' who serve as assistants

Why Wowowee might be annoying:

    It probably inspired other inane TV shows featuring femmes fatales such as Deal or No Deal and Show Me the Money.
    73 people were crushed and 300 others were injured when organizers were handing out tickets to the show's first year anniversary show.
    There was a controversy over weather one of the games was rigged. It was a technical glitch and the game was dropped from the show altogether.
    In a cross promotion for Philippine teen comedy Gokada Go!, one of the cast members exposed her boob (a la Janet Jackson) and the show received a three day suspension by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.
    The title sounds very obnoxious.
    The dancers often squeal in an annoying manner.

Why Wowowee might not be annoying:

    Despite it being 'canceled' for one month, it was green-lit for a second season.
    They have done shows outside the Philippines including the United States.
    It gives Filipinos something to watch at noontime.
