Premise: Travails of a blue-collar band called the Heights

Why The Heights might be annoying:

Like The Archies and Partridge Family it was a TV series about a fictional band that produced real hits.
It was a ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ rip-off, with Walters joining ‘90210’ after ‘The Heights’ was canceled.
Each episode featured a song performed as a video montage.
It was canceled after only 12 episodes.

Why The Heights might not be annoying:

Unlike ‘90210,’ the actors were the same age as the characters they played.
Unlike the Partridge Family or the early Monkees, all the actors played their own instruments.
'How Do You Talk to an Angel' topped the Billboard charts the week before the series was canceled.
