    Author of the books 'The Gospel (1987), 'The Gospels Interwoven' (1987), 'Palestine Is Coming: The Revival of Ancient Philistia' (1990), 'The Third Day Bible Code' (2006) and 'Warrior from Heaven' (2009)

Why he might be annoying:

    Despite his popularity, he never won a major PGA tournament.
    He earned the nickname 'Moon Man' as result of a skit done by Bob Hope.
    He is extremely religious and isn't afraid to push his beliefs on everyone.
    Outside of golf, he is known for publishing controversial Christian writings.
    Despite his Evangelical Christian beliefs, he wrote the book 'The Third Day Bible Code' under a pseudonym out of fear his beliefs would ostracize him from the Evangelical community since it leaned towards Unitarianism.

    He attended the University of Houston on a golf scholarship.
    He recorded 30 top 10 finishes in his 18 years on the PGA Tour.
    He earned an honorary doctorate degree from North Park University (2001).
    His surname served as the inspiration for NHL defenseman Zarley Zalapski's first name.
    In addition to his work on theology, he has also posted articles on world issues.
