Why Hannah Montana might be annoying:

The episode titles are either taken from or play on actual song titles.
A working title, The Secret Life of Zoe Stewart, was judged too similar to Zoey 101.
Two of Hannah’s signature phrases are ‘Sweet niblets!’ and ‘Ya think?’
Dolly Parton appears occasionally as Aunt Dolly.
The Best of Both Worlds Tour (named for its title song) usually sells out in five minutes or less — with brokers auctioning tickets online for many times the original worth.
It spawned a three-dimensional concert feature film.

Why Hannah Montana might not be annoying:

It allowed viewers to all but forget Lizzie McGuire.
Its first episode scored 5.4 million viewers — ratings diamond for many cable stations.
Billy Ray Cyrus portrays identical twin brothers.
Brooke Shields appears in flashbacks as Hannah’s since-deceased mother.
Hannah is not the typical double-life character, as almost all of her family and close friends know her secret.
Sometimes her secret is threatened by her own mistakes and desire to maintain a normal lifestyle.
She has to contend with people who like her but not her alter ego and people who, like Amber and Ashley, like her alter ego but not her.
The related tour features Miley Cyrus performing as herself and her signature character.
