Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He sported a mullet during his career.
    He never wore batting gloves.
He was used primarily as a backup during his career.
He was nicknamed ‘The Little Hurt’ during his tenure with the White Sox.
He was accused of showboating after he hit his first career home run off Nolan Ryan (1993).
His excessive celebrations prompted Ryan to bean him in retaliation, breaking his rib in the process.
It was that chain of events which set the stage for Robin Ventura charging the mound (and ultimately getting his ass kicked) in the next matchup where Ryan pitched.

Why he might not be annoying:

He led the Southern League in base hits (1989).
He was a versatile infielder, who was able to play both the corner and middle infield positions.
He had his locker in the White Sox clubhouse between both Frank Thomas and Bo Jackson, two of the biggest players on the roster.
He excelled defensively for a player of his stature (5 feet, 7 inches).
He was the example of perseverance as he reached the major leagues, despite being undrafted and being told he was too small by coaches.
He was considered a scrappy player by baseball pundits.
