National League Silver Slugger Award winner (2008)

Why he might be annoying:

His nickname is ‘Luddy.’
He named his son Stetson, due to his affinity for cowboy hats.
He suffered a serious hip injury during his stint with the Rangers, which hampered his playing abilities for the duration of his career.
He played on six different teams during his career.
His breakout 2008 season was considered a fluke by baseball pundits, as he was unable to replicate those numbers in the years afterwards.
