Why he might be annoying:

He was an autocrat.
He left Yale University to join Ford Motor Company.
He introduced the biggest flop in Ford Motor Company's history, the Ford Edsel (named after his father).
He fired Bunky Knudsen and forced Lee Iacocca to quit.

Why he might not be annoying:

When the United States entered WW II, he joined the US Navy Reserve. He was later dismissed so he can help Ford Motor Company's contribution to the war effort after his father's death.
He put Ford Motor Company back on its track after the post war disarray.
He tried to acquire Ferrari, but Enzo Ferrari changed his mind.
He introduced the GT40 and it became the first American car to win the Le Mans 24 hour’s endurance race.
